DAC PONY'S DEFEAT GLEN OAKS IN FIRST ROUND OF PLAYOFFS

Putting a strong team together that could compete at 90 foot bases and 60.6 pitching mound is never an easy task, but Coach Steve Gross worked countless hours recruiting to ensure that DAC would have a team at this age level. With a pitching staff centered around the awesome curveball of Devin Ferrante, the strong arm of Andrew Gross and the always reliable Jordan Mittenthal, this team has shown that they can compete against anyone. Of course the pitchers have benefitted by the powerful bats of team leading Andrew Gross, George Konstantaras, Sam Geffen, Kevin Carton, Kevin Kasparian, and Devin Ferrante all of whom have the strength to hit it out of the park. With the 90 foot bases, speed is key and Ethan Geffen, Sam Geffen and Kevin Kasparian have all manufactured runs where it looked impossible to score. Also,great fielding by George Konstantaras, Ethan Geffen, Sam Geffen and Ben Margolin behind the plate have saved the team from some potentially costly jams. This team is well rounded with Reid Goodman, Jesse Bagell, Danny Randall,Josh Ramirez, Alex Kaston and Alex Haley all contributing to their 11-5-1 record. Coach Steve Gross along with co-coach Larry Margolin can be proud of what this team has accomplished.
