FINISH REGULAR SEASON IN 2ND PLACE WITH 9-4 RECORD IN BAYSIDE
ALLIANCE
| With last years PONY's all moving up except
for 3 returning players, we didn't even know if we'd have
a team or a coach, but Coach Rob Yzaguirre stepped up
and one by one we ended up with a team. With some new
pitching rules in effect, teams this year could not rely
on one or two pitchers but instead at least 4-5 were needed
which is what we had. We always had at least 3 pitchers
with good control available per game which is what kept
us competitive. It also helped that we had solid hitting
from the beginning of the lineup all the way to the number
9 spot contributing to our 9-4 record. Congrats on a great
season and Good Luck in the playoffs. |

The
DAC Yankees beat Bayside 12-10 overcoming a 7 - 0 deficit
in their second straight come from behind victory. While the
Bayside bats were alive early the DAC bats took a while to
get going, but once they did they never looked back. Some
timely hits by Anthony Samela, Chris Yzaguirre, James Wolfin,
Logan Miller, Ethan Geffen, Wedith Reyes, Alex Haley, Justin
Garcia and Jordan Mittenthal and along with some great defense
all contributed to the win. Jordan Mittenthal pitched 5 strong
innings followed by hard throwing Chris Yzaguirre. James Wolfin
came in for the save by getting the last out.
